Jennifer Kristiansen earned her JD from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2015. During her time there, she was an intern at the L & C Legal Clinic, representing domestic violence survivors and low-income tenants, and NCVLI, where she assisted crime victims across the country to find resources and advocates.
Until she joined Harris & Elkins, she practiced family law, specializing in representing domestic violence survivors and advocating for greater access to justice.
Prior to law school, Jennifer earned a BA in English (Western Oregon University, ‘04) and an MA in journalism (University of Oregon, ‘07); she put her degrees to use as a freelance copywriter, penning verse for technology companies, small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and the entertainment section of a daily newspaper.
Outside of work, she can usually be found with a book or a knitting project in hand, accompanied by her Husband, teenage sons, and their dog, Hubble.

H. Alison Burns is a licensed Attorney with 10 years of litigation experience in Civil Litigation, Retail Law, Hospitality Law, Education & Employment Law, Franchise Law, Regulatory Compliance, Anti-discrimination, Civil rights laws, Public Access Law, Titles II & III Civil Rights Act, ADA, Real Estate, Sect. 504 Rehabilitation Act, Civil Rights Act 1973, 1990, ADA.
She worked for years at law firm that specialized in the ADA, where she has handled matters in technology and retail, hospitality, as well as schools and public accommodations.
She also worked at the State of New Mexico as a prosecutor.
She worked for the City of New York as an education lawyer.
Admitted in three States: Oregon, Georgia, Alabama.
Admitted in four Federal Courts including the Northern District of Georgia, the Middle District of Alabama, The Northern District of Alabama.
In her spare time Ms. Burns likes to get out on the water as much as possible via kayak or sailboat, and she enjoys birding, exploring Portland, and reading The Oregonian.
